2012

Concerning all the hype about 2012 and the coming destruction of the Mayan myth,  there are a lot of sites out there that will scare you to death.

Probably the best one going (Christian based), with a forum for discussions, is

http://www.the2012warning.com

No one knows when Christ will come, and no one knows the date of the rapture.  All speculation is useless.

However, it is good to know that you are saved, and that God will take care of his children.  There is nothing to fear when you have Jesus.  Praise God.

This Professor is a Genius

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before,
but had once failed an entire class.

smart-teacher

——————————————–

That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK,
we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D!
No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F..

The scores never increased as bickering,
blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

(Please pass this on)

Will Dr. Adrian Rogers quotes of 1931 make more sense today?…

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom.”

“What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.”

“The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. “

“When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for…that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.”

“You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

For several months I have wondered how in the world the entire economy could be crumbling, while prices on everything from milk to gasoline are skyrocketing.  Now, I think the answer is coming out.  There is a group of the world’s top 125 wealthiest men running the show called the Bilderberg Group.  Here is a shocking video showing who they are and how OBama is their puppet.  Definitely worth a view.

I cannot speak as to the actuality of all the facts put forth herein, but the whole economic crisis only makes sense when you realize: “When things don’t make sense, there must be big bucks in it.” – Dan Kaighen

On October 14, 2009, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change skeptic, gave a presentation in St. Paul, MN. In this 4-minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty, scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

Lord Monckton served as a policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher. He has repeatedly challenged Al Gore to a debate to which Gore has refused. Monckton sued to stop Gore’s film “An Inconvenient Truth” from being shown in British schools due to its inaccuracies. The judge found in-favor of Monckton, ordering 9 serious errors in the film to be corrected. Lord Monckton travels internationally in an attempt to educating the public about the myth of global warming.

The above video was taken off the fanatical site:  “2012warning” which proposes that the world will experience global disasters on December 21, 2012.  Here in this video we are told that President Obama is going to sign a global warming apology to the world in December, 2009, and basically cede our freedoms over to the one world order.  It is based upon the misconception that since we, the United States have been the guiltiest of all in the abuse of fossil fuels, hence we are the ones who must pay.  They claim that we have messed up the world’s climate.

All this climate change, global warming, etc. is now heading for a “One-World-Government”.  Hmm.  The video is worth a view, even though the site and content are extremely questionable.

Glory to God!  The voters of Maine have removed the ridiculous legislation of Gay Marriage that was imposed (forced) upon them by legislative action and court rulings.  It’s about time!

Frank Schubert, campaign director for Stand for Marriage Maine, claims victory

Why left-wing legislators think that intelligent, common-sense Americans will just lie down and be over-run rough-shod  by some domineering politically-motivated activists, is beyond me.  Hey!  We are Americans.  We haven’t built this great nation on the sinking sand of Sodomy!  We have built this nation on the solid rock of family values, hard work, and morality.

Good for you guys in Maine.  I am proud of you.  I am so happy for you.

Since I live in Connecticut, I only hope that soon we will have the chance to take this same issue to the voters of my state.  Our own Governor has said that she does not think this forced (court-imposed) legislation will withstand the vote of the people.  Come on!  Bring it on!  Let us vote it out of our state, like the decent people of Maine have done.

Decency is not dead.  If you are going to live an immoral lifestyle, help yourself, but don’t make a mockery of marriage.

 31 Oct 2009 @ 10:12 AM

Yesterday, October 30, 2009, while we were all planning our Halloween parties and thinking about the World Series, The FDIC closed more banks in that one day than they have on any one day of this tragic year.  A total of 9 American banks were closed yesterday.

California National Bank

According to the official FDIC site, banks in Texas, California and several other states were permanently shuttered.  There are a total of 416 more banks on the FDIC confidential list of problem institutions that may possibly get the axe.

On Thursday, July 2, 2009, 7 banks were closed.  That was the absolute record for one-day closures, until yesterday.  Last week, October 23, the Feds closed 7 more banks, tieing the daily record.  Now this week, we set an all-time high for bank closures in one day.

Of course, they will open today or Monday under a new name.  But the interesting thing is that it doesn’t seem to matter to anybody.  This is not big news.  This is amazing to me.

Any other time in American history people would have become concerned and realized that there is a problem…a big problem.  Today,  nnnneeh.  No big deal.  Just another bank failure.

We are spiraling faster and faster into economic disaster, and everybody just sort of yawns.

Is this an economic recovery?

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t seem to feel that this is anything like a “recovery”.  Hmm.

In earlier posts, we have seen how the militant Muslims of Michigan have been trying to raise up a muslim nation in America.

Here, this week, we see that the FBI has gotten into it with one of the biggest bad boys on the block.

Christopher Thomas, alias Luqman Ameen Abdullah:  The deceased

Check out this article from yesterday, October 28, 2009, where apparently the leader of the pack was killed by the FBI.  (Multiple gunshots wounds, as many as 18, according to reports)

Another Detroit newspaper has quite a story on the incident.

The more deatiled account of the shooting and death of a police dog in the confrontation can be found at this site.  There are also 3 men that have eluded the FBI capture, and are at large, even at this moment.

Of course, we do not know the extenuating circumstances, and there have been FBI mishaps before with Ruby Ridge and Waco coming to mind, but…

it appears that the growing Muslim population in Dearborn Michigan is threatening to form a separate muslim state within the state, and the deceased was the ringleader.

A state within a state means that they do not want the US Constitution to be their code of law, but rather, they want the Quran, the holy muslim book to rule.

So, it has started.  In America.  The official muslim takeover of the “west”.  Where it will end, who knows.

The sermons of the summer have blown our socks off!  We have had some of the greatest young preachers in America preaching for us.  Awesome!

Brynner Trepovocht brought his new bride, Marissa.  They were wed on July 4 in St. Luis Potosi, Mexico.  What a handsome, sharp couple they are.  Brynner’s mom and dad and uncle were guests of honor as they heard the powerful sermon and rejoiced with the rest of us at the blessings of God on these young people.

Brynner grew up here in Norwalk from the 3rd grade on.  He graduated from our academy, and served as the custodian for the church or a while.  He and I spent many hours hunting deer together.

Marissa’s Pastor, Luis Ramos, is my old friend from many years ago while in Bible College in Hammond.  His wife, Karen, played the piano wonderfully for the Junior C Department in the Siefer Building when we all served the Lord there together.  What happy memories.

Brynner has a very special place in the hearts of all our church members, and they participated whole-heartedly in giving an offering for the newly-weds.  We enjoyed stuffing money in his pockets.

James Riley is now serving at the First Baptist Church in Hammond in the Bus Maintenance department.  He maried the Greek teacher’s daughter, Emily (Penns).  They brouht their lovely family out a couple weeks ago and preached for us.  James was a new-born babe in Christ when he first came to the Lighthouse.  He was an engineer student at Poly-Tech University just outside Albany, NY.  He was working in Stamford, CT at the Pitney Bowes Headquarters.  He came to our church because his pastor up there mentioned the Lighthouse to him.  While here, he heard the Hyles-Anderson College summer tour group as they sang for us, and the Lord touched his heart about attending Bible College.  He left his dream of becoming an engineer, and surrendered to do the Lord’s work with his life.  I mentioned to him, while he was here, that there is a GREAT need for Pastors all along the East Coast.  After hearing him preach last week, I think I would call him out here, IF I WERE THE LORD.

Yesterday, Bro. Andy Schultz, 12 year veteran missionary to Zambia Africa, preached the morning message for us.  Unbelievable.  We took them on for support while they were on deputation 14 years ago.  They have been faithful and fruitful for all these years.  Not without dificulties, hardships, and opposition, mind you.  They have done the work of the Lord in a dificult place.

Which reminds me, our good people made Faith Promise Missions committments last September, just before the stock market fell, and the economy went sour.  To the glory of God, and to HIS honor and praise, we the great people of this amazing church have NOT ONLY kept their commitments…They have already exceeded their promised giving.  What an awesome church.  It has not been easy here in Fairfield County.  Many folks have lost their homes to the sub-prime mortgage crisis.  Many have lost their jobs.  To the praise of King Jesus, I can honestly say that: All those who have kept their missions commitments have still got their jobs and their income and their homes.  Some months people told me how hard it was to give.  I know personally, how tight it has been for them.  This is a testimony of the faithfulness of God.  Where God’s hand guides, God’s hand provides.

It is easy to serve the Lord when everything is going good.  But when you get the privilege to see Christians serve the Lord faithfully  in troublous times, IT IS GLORIOUS.

Here is the Video from Michigan, in case you couldn’t watch it.

I don’t know the individuals who took the video, but I am glad they did.
America, we are in trouble. We had better wake up.

Murder!  Burn!  Destroy!  The Muslims have the Christians in the minority in many countries, so they are working them over BIG time.

The links above will give several horrible accounts of the attrocities committed JUST THIS WEEK alone!
What is happening over there is also beginning to happen in the US. Check out the one in Michigan.
I have a Christian friend in Pakistan. He quickly emailed me the following links that ran on the Pakistan television stations. The audio is not in English. Sorry.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czm4mOv5kHA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-JEOOaJILk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yz3uewno6Hs

I received the Baptist Bible Tribune Magazine this week, and in one of their articles they are poo-pooing the whole idea that radical islam is taking over. I don’t know what more proof some people need before they accept the fact that this world is quickly becoming VERY unsafe for Christian Believers… no matter where we live.
Again, I do not believe that we need a holy war against Islam. I do not believe that would accomplish anything.
I do, however, believe that we Christians need to get very busy obeying Our Lord’s Great Commission. It is our duty to win the lost to Jesus Christ. It is our duty to point everyone to Calvary and lead them to the Lord. If we don’t, our days are numbered.
My AnaBaptist friend in Pakistan has sent me many pictures of the believers there in prayer and public services. He and all the Christians are in mortal fear, and they have every right to be.  Wouldn’t you be, if your very neighbors killed a bunch of Christians just last night?

Oh, how we need to pray.  Oh, how we need to get busy.  Oh, how we need to quit playing church, and playing politics, and playing ostrich (with our heads in the sand)!!!

You know, maybe the Muslims are the ones that the Lord will use to punish our sin-sick American “rock concert” churches.  Maybe the Lord will use the followers of Islam to “clean house” on all these “no Bible”, “no standards”, “no doctrine” outfits.  I don’t know.  How could I know.  But He did worse things than that in the Bible days when His chosen people, Israel, got so far away from the Word of God, that you couldn’t even tell the diference from them and the heathens around them.

We have been called out and separated and chosen to be a peculiar people.  Christianity used to believe in something.  So many of the churches today have turned their back on God and His Bible.  The churches are being converted by the “world”, instead of the “world” being converted by the churches.  God help us.

I am not claiming to be a prophet.  But one could do worse than being a prophet of the Lord God.

I do not claim to know the future, but, brother, the hand-writing is on the wall.

What can we do?

Prayer and fasting comes to mind first.

Confessing our sins to the Lord rates way up there.

Going soul-winning is not far from the top of the list.

II Chronicles 7:14   If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
