Don’t look any further if you are not ready.  If you aren’t sick of your sin.  If you haven’t gotten tired of groping around in the darkness and finding no real answers.   If you don’t want peace within.  If you still think you have all the answers.  If you honestly think that knowledge and mental stimulus and education is all there is.  Don’t look any further.  You are not ready.

But if, on the other hand, your innermost being is telling you, even right now, that you are missing something.  If way down inside you are empty and hungry.  If you would like to find the true key to knowledge and wisdom.  If you have grown weary of ignoring that still small voice crying out within you.  If you’d sincerely, honestly, humbly, like to know God.  Then read on:

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE NOT READY!

There is a basic, inherant problem with men.  All of us.  We are not basically good.  We are born tainted…with the sin nature of Adam.  It is not our fault.  It was passed down to us from the beginning.  We can’t do good if we try.  Adam’s sin nature was passed down to us.

Besides that, we have all chosen to do wrong.  That IS OUR FAULT.  Our attitudes and our actions are not the fault of our parenting or our position in life.  We choose every moment to do right or wrong.  When we choose wrong, that is called sin.  All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

Adam and Eve couldn’t even make it in a perfect state with sinless bodies.  How do we think we can do any better?

I warned you not to read this if you weren’t ready.  This is the truth, and the truth can set you free, if you will accept the truth.  However, if you reject the truth, all you have left is a lie.

Are you still Ready?  Then read on.  Otherwise go back to surfing the web.

This is going to get worse before it gets better. 

ARE YOU STILL READY FOR THIS?

If we die in this unregenerated condition, we will be lost forever… damned to the lake of fire… without God.  Without hope.  Without another chance. 

It is what we deserve for our sins.  God says so.

Not fair?  What do you mean not fair?  God is THE judge of all, and He says that is what we deserve.  Argue with Him, if you want, but it would be better to agree with Him.  He is going to win.

According to Newton, for every action, there is an opposite reaction.  And so it is with sin.  We reap what we sew, and we get what we grow.

Especially this next part…  It would be like casting pearls before swine:  They wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Someone loves you so much, that He gave his life for you so that you could live forever in a perfect place called Heaven.

That someone is Jesus.  He made you.  He loves you.  He lived a perfect life so that when He died, His death could pay for all your sins.  This is a love story. 

Tell me about it?  OK.  Two thousand years ago, Jesus was born to a virgin woman, one who had never known a man.  According to Isaiah 9:6, He was actually God Almighty, Jehovah, Himself, entering the human race, just as we did, except He was without sin from conception to crucifixion. 
Awesome.

After 33 years of sinless living, He was crucified for claiming to be God.  He was hung naked on the cross of Calvary for you and for me.  His blood that He shed that day paid for all our sins.  It was the Atonement. 

Now, ARE YOU READY FOR THE BEST PART?

You can be changed forever, Born again, made into a new creature, become a child of God, have all your sin washed away.  How?  if you will simply believe on, trust in, rely upon Jesus as your Saviour.  It is not hard.  If you are finding it hard to do this, it is because there is still some sense of pride and self that you are wanting to trust in.  Listen, Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

Why don’t you just take a moment right now and get down on your knees and tell Jesus you want Him to save you.

Illustration:  There once was a man who did a tightrope act across Niagara Falls.  One day he brought a wheelbarrow and asked, “How many of you think I can push this wheelbarrow across the chasm?”  Hands went up everywhere.  “How many of you think I could put a man in the wheelbarrow and make it across?”  Again, hands waving gleefully.  “OK.  Who will get in and let me take you across?”  Not one single hand.

See, there’s a difference between believing that Jesus CAN take us to Heaven, and believing ON JESUS and letting Him take us across.
